Good with food

Our recent work with Ruby Lovell Exquisite Pasta Collection continues our close links with the food, home and cookware sector. “It all started a couple of years ago when we worked on the brand and packaging for one of our clients who was producing Gino D’Acampo’s range of filled pasta for Tesco. Since then we’ve continued to produce work for the food sector. Our recent retail brand projects with Heston Blumenthal and Michel Roux Jr on their retail product ranges continued the trend. Even in these challenging times, food and related product sectors remain very vibrant and offer the opportunity to create some very prestigious work” said Creative Director Ray Jepson.

Dining out on success

We’ve received a nice surprise as thanks for our work with Michel Roux Jr., in the shape of an invitation to dine at the Le Gavroche restaurant. “It was a pleasure to work with Michel on the launch of his range of Global kitchen knives and our client is very pleased with the sales of the product range, which is now available from many specialist cookshops throughout the UK” said Creative Director Ray Jepson.

Roll out for new product in emerging steelmaking market

Jepson One is providing brand communications and marketing services for Poco, a new and highly innovative manufacturer of EDT (Electro Discharge Texturing) systems. Poco is targeting steel companies in China who are predominantly producing strip steel for use in white goods and automotive and consumer products. “The current tough trading conditions have divided business, with some cutting back dramatically on their marketing activities, which inevitably sees them losing ground on their competitors. Whilst others are taking a different view and engaging their customers very effectively with fresh and attractive propositions. Poco has created this with a superior and highly salable technical solution for a rapidly and very demanding market and we are looking forward to working with them at all levels, from brand creation and implementation to attending sales presentations to steel companies in central China” said Ray Jepson Creative Director. The acquisition of the Poco brand and marketing campaign sees Jepson One continuing to offer a scope of expertise to businesses who are launching new products or looking to promote their existing products and services more effectively. “This could be locally, regionally or in this instance targeted at a specific emerging international market” added Ray.

A free plug for Q-Park

We were really switched on when Q-park asked us to design the vehicle livery for their new dinky electric vans which are to service their newly acquired City of London car parks. The vehicles will buzz around promoting Q-Park’s new and totally free “Park and Plug in” service for customers with electric cars. With a roll out at recently opened car parks around the UK, anyone with an electric vehicle can park and plug in free of charge. “We’re not surprised that Q-Park have again shown their commitment to bringing added value to the parking experience” said Creative Director Ray Jepson. The new free vehicle recharging service will be added to the parking group’s other free services, which include buggies and brollies hire, heart defibrillator, alcohol tester and shoe shine.

Visitors warm to new workspace

Our new Hawk Works Studio is getting a big thumbs up from our clients. “First impressions have been great and they really like the informal approach. Nobody’s missed the usual frosty faced receptionists, although it was a bit cool before we took delivery of our classic style radiators. Now everyone’s warming to the fact they can wander in and have a chat” said Creative Director Ray Jepson. “The close proximity to the railway station is a benefit we overlooked, but is something appreciated the other day by a client who came to see us from London. And it’s only a short walk from excellent lunchtime eateries like the Fusion Café, which is a nice place to take folk for a coffee and bite to eat. We’ve really strived to make the workspace very different from the norm. Next stop is looking for some wall art. Really like the possibility of some reclaimed signage, piece of an old aircraft or car or why not a huge Jackson Pollack canvas, which will fit right in with my decorating style. Mind you didn’t manage to get any artistic drips and daubs on the Scandinavian sofas, thankfully” added Ray.

Putting our clients in the picture

With a portfolio of video projects recently completed for global steel group Tata Steel, Jepson One is now targeting business to promote its video production expertise. Tata Steel commissioned us to direct and produce a number of internal communication videos at the time of their rebranding from Corus and since then we have designed and produced external media, including a video for Tata’s Aerospace division which was shot at Stocksbridge, Rotherham, Rolls-Royce, Derby and aerospace undercarriage specialist Messier-Dowty. We’re also at final edit on a documentary style video about Air Quality for the steel group, as our work continues. “Working with Tata has gained us the acknowledgement of our talent for directing and producing excellent work in this media, which our other clients are now picking up on. Being an agency who can deliver our client’s message through both print, web and additionally video is a added factor we are promoting”. said Creative Director Ray Jepson.
